The World Stands Up brings together the best in comedy talent from all over the globe. Each episode features four artistes (two from North America and two from the rest of the world) the last of which is musical. More than two hundred and fifty acts from five continents have appeared and series have aired in the USA on BBC America in the UK and Ireland on Paramount Comedy, in Australia on The Comedy Channel, in the Middle East and North Africa on Showtime Arabia and in Holland on Comedy Central Netherlands.
